上海交通大学医学院附属瑞金医院、上海高血压研究所内科学教授。1968年毕业于第二军医大学，并于1981年在上海第二医科大学获得硕士学位。国际高血压学会及中国心脏病学会委员，中国高血压联盟委员及秘书长。研究工作主要涉及临床高血压领域，包括临床试验、动态血压监测、动脉壁弹性。曾参与多项高血压领域内大型临床试验的设计、实施，如STONE、HOT-CHINA和HYVET。发表200余篇学术文章。

    Dr. Weizhong Zhang is Professor of Internal Medicine in the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension， Ruijin Hospital， at Shanghai Jiaotong University. He graduated from the Second Military Medical University in 1968， and received his master degree from the Shanghai Second Medical University in 1981. Currently， Dr. Zhang is a member of the International Society of Hypertension， the Chinese Association of Cardiology， and a member and general secretary of the board of the Chinese Hypertension League. Dr. Zhang has conducted research work in the areas of clinical hypertension， including clinical trial， ambulatory blood pressure monitoring， and arterial elasticity. He has contributed to the design， conduct， and steering of several large clinical trials in hypertension， such as STONE， HOT-CHINA， and HYVET. Dr. Zhang has contributed to more than 200 scientific publications.
